Types of corporations in Panama

There are a few different types of corporations you can create in Panama. The most common are the resident corporation and the non-resident corporation (IBC).

In Panama, the same entity can be used to do business in and out of Panama.

A resident corporation is one that carries out business operations within the national territory of Panama. A non-resident corporation (IBC), on the other hand, does not carry out any business operations within Panama, but rather uses the country as a jurisdictional base for tax and asset protection.
